The Culture Collection of Porto (CCP) is a non-profit, Portuguese biological resource center for the preservation, systematic investigation, provision, distribution, and valorisation of microbial resources and biodiversity. CCP is a service and research collection that provides support to R&D activities of Portuguese and foreign researchers.

CCP mantains specific expertise in clinical, food, water and environmental microbiology, microbial taxonomy, phylogeny, species description, genomics, proteomics, infrared spectroscopy, and antimicrobial resistance.

CCP was founded in 2021, registered and recognized by the World Federation of Culture Collections (WFCC) as the collection nº 1252.

The collection is located at the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto.
